Draft Grade = B

1 St. Louis Rams - QB Sam Bradford - 6'4-1/4" 236 - Oklahoma

If you need a franchise QB, you better get one, and St. Louis Did that. I love this pick for them. Grade: A+

33 St. Louis Rams - OT Rodger Saffold - 6'4-1/8" 316 - Indiana

It's always smart to take someone to protect your quarterback. Saffold is insurance if Smith can't play LT. Barron can play OG now. Grade: A+

65 St. Louis Rams - CB Jerome Murphy - 6'0-1/2" 196 - South Florida

They take a guy who fills a need and at the same time is great value. Hard to not like this pick.Grade: A+

99 St. Louis Rams - WR Mardy Gilyard - 5'11-7/8" 187 - Cincinnati

Got a huge steal here. They needed someone who could be a good option for Sam Bradford. Grade: A+

132 St. Louis Rams - TE Michael Hoomanawanui - 6'3-3/4" 264 - Illinois

Great position pick. Just a bit of a reach though. Not worth the pick this high. Grade: D

149 St. Louis Rams - DE Hall Davis - 6'3-3/4" 271 - Louisiana-Lafayette

This was a big reach here for a DE. Davis wasn't that good in college. Grade: D

170 St. Louis Rams - TE Fendi Onubon - 6'6" 249 - Arizona

They needed a TE and took one last round. Not a need here and a huge reach on potential. Grade: D

189 St. Louis Rams - DE Eugene Sims - 6'6" 235 - West Texas A&M

They already took a DE in this draft and then reach to the UDFA ranks for this guy. bad bad pick. Grade: F

211 St. Louis Rams - DB Marquis Johnson - 5'11" 192 - Alabama

Alabama's 5th best defensive back goes here. Not worth the pick. Grade: F

226 St. Louis Rams - DE George Selvie - 6'4-3/8" 252 - South Florida

It's always smart to improve your pass rush. Selvie is just too good. Grade: A+

254 St. Louis Rams - LB Josh Hull - 6'2-3/4" 237 - Penn State

They get some much needed linebacker depth here. Grade: A

Overall Grade based on talent acquired and team needs met: A

The Rams finally addressed their need at Franchise QB. That gives them an A right there, but they also just made a lot of smart smaller moves this offseason and could possibly compete in a wide open NFC west next year if Spagnuolo and his defense really improves this season.
