My explosion score is derived from multiple factors. It starts with the weight multiplied by a factor and then using the 10 yard split and vertical jump.

Quarterback

QB Tim Tebow - 6'2-3/4" 236 - Explosion Score 216.33

Tim Tebow is on all 3 of the Scar Draft Score teams. He is an elite athlete and I've never seen someone who was the kind of athlete he is at the QB spot. Give him a better QB coach and you could see Tebow being a new type of QB in the NFL.

Running Backs

RB Ben Tate - 5'11" 220 - Explosion Score 239.19

Tate is also on all 3 teams. He is one of the few guys out there who will be able to explode through would be tacklers and be able to run through defenses like Michael Turner does.

RB Montario Hardesty - 5'11-3/4" 225 - Explosion Score 244.37

Hardesty is another one of those sneaky-fast guys. He is too quick and shifty for people to catch him and his overall style fits best in a Gibbs Zone Blocking Scheme with a West Coast offense attached.

FB John Conner - 5'11-1/8" 246 - Explosion Score 220.77

John Conner is a beast and a half, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him on all 3 scored teams. He really brings all that you want in a fullback. The speed to get out there and hit someone, and he can catch too.

Wide Receivers

WRF Joe Webb - 6'3-5/8" 223 - Explosion Score 247.78

A guy who will be switching from the QB position to the WR position. He has all the speed to make the switch. He could easily be a sleeper in this year's draft and really needs to develop his hands and route-running.

WRP Dorin Dickerson - 6'1-3/8" 222 - Explosion Score 252.47

Dorin Dickerson fits in at multiple spots in NFL schemes. He really could be anything from a slot receiver to an H-back to a full on TE. What I think his best position would be though is a Possession WR.

WRS Scott Long - 6'2-1/8" 216 - Explosion Score 240.64

Long has the best potential out of all of the Wide Receivers in this year's draft. He is a rough lump of coal right now though. He needs a lot of polishing to become that diamond in the rough.

TE Jimmy Graham - 6'6-1/4" 260 - Explosion Score 261.70

Long has the best potential out of all of the Wide Receivers in this year's draft. He is a rough lump of coal right now though. He needs a lot of polishing to become that diamond in the rough.

Offensive Line

LT Jared Veldheer - 6'8-1/8" 312 - Explosion Score 243.07

Agility is more important for an OL. Veldheer wins this metric. The little known guy before the draft prospect has been skyrocketing up boards with his size and agility. Now that he has shown it, he is no suprise around the league.

LG Chris DeGeare - 6'3-1/2" 325 - Explosion Score 247.08

DeGeare has the size needed to succeed at guard in the NFL. But his explosion # is off the charts for someone as big as he is. He should be able to at least give the guys like Suh a big pop at the next level.

C Kenny Alfred - 6'1-7/8" 286 - Explosion Score 206.19

WSU's Alfred didn't look like the explosive type when I saw him in games, but most of the time he wasn't going head up with a Nose Tackle. I think he would be able to play center in the NFL at a high level.

RG Shelley Smith - 6'2-7/8" 300 - Explosion Score 234.48

Smith is a mediocre caliber guard, with a strong core. I don't know how he posted a score this high because he didn't look nearly as explosive on tape.

RT Trent Williams - 6'4-5/8" 315 - Explosion Score 255.71

Yes, Williams has a better score than Veldheer too, but he is a pure RT from what I have seen on film. I love his play at RT though and with his speed he could be the next David Stewart.

4-3 Front 7

LDE Clifton Geathers - 6'7-1/2" 299 - Explosion Score 250.33

Jamaal Anderson part II. Has the size, and the speed and the explosion to be an interesting prospect. But will never amount to the potential his physical attributes show because he just doesn't have "it".

NT Al Woods - 6'3-5/8" 309 - Explosion Score 254.07

Al Woods is an interesting sort. His tape doesn't show his natural ability. While I'd love to see him in my team's uniform, I'd be hard pressed to take him earlier than the 5th round.

UT Ndamukong Suh - 6'3-7/8" 309 - Explosion Score 257.95

Suh is scary. He is easily the best player in the draft outside of Eric Berry and has proven to me time and time again that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL whether he winds up a 3, 1 or 5-tech or in the 2-gap schemes.

RDE Alex Daniels - 6'2-1/8" 265 - Explosion Score 243.33

Daniels is a lot like his teammate Mathews. Underrated, but will likely not be drafted either. He is arguably one of the quickest players off the snap, but other than that, he won't give you much in the NFL.

WLB Dekoda Watson - 6'1-3/8" 240 - Explosion Score 250.98

Dekoda Watson is not just fast, but quick off the edge. FSU blitzed him a lot and for good reason. His speed off the edge will be terrifying in the NFL, and I could easily see him fitting in well with Philly or New York.

MLB Jamar Chaney - 6'0-3/4" 242 - Explosion Score 245.14

Chaney's speed will benefit him in the 3-4 or the 4-3. He fits as a MLB/SILB and could very well be the pounder and leader for someone in the middle of their defense. I really think Jamar can be a special player in the NFL.

SLB Keenan Clayton - 6'1-1/8" 229 - Explosion Score 243.68

Clayton will be a great fit in the NFL and a steal for someone. His instincts match his score here and I really think he will be a starter within 2 years of getting to the NFL.

3-4 Front 7

LDE Ndamukong Suh - 6'3-7/8" 309 - Explosion Score 257.95

Suh is scary. He is easily the best player in the draft outside of Eric Berry and has proven to me time and time again that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL whether he winds up a 3, 1 or 5-tech or in the 2-gap schemes.

NT Al Woods - 6'3-5/8" 309 - Explosion Score 254.07

Al Woods is an interesting sort. His tape doesn't show his natural ability. While I'd love to see him in my team's uniform, I'd be hard pressed to take him earlier than the 5th round.

RDE Tyson Alualu - 6'2-3/8" 295 - Explosion Score 250.84

Alualu plays fast. He also hits hard. He played in a 3-4 at Cal and his best fit is in a 3-4 in the NFL. He can disrupt from the 3-tech, the 5-tech and the 1-tech and NFL coaches will be happy to have him on their team.

WOLB Jason Worilds - 6'1-1/4" 254 - Explosion Score 247.49

Worilds is special. His speed off the end is unparalleled. But his problems with injuries could hamper his development. He is limited schematically to a 3-4 OLB though, and 4-3 teams will shy away from him.

WILB Jamar Chaney - 6'0-3/4" 242 - Explosion Score 245.14

Chaney's speed will benefit him in the 3-4 or the 4-3. He fits as a MLB/SILB and could very well be the pounder and leader for someone in the middle of their defense. I really think Jamar can be a special player in the NFL.

SILB Rolando McClain - 6'3-3/8" 254 - Explosion Score 219.51

McClain is a cerebral player and can hurt people when he hits them. He posted a lower explosion score than I thought he would but still made the team.

SOLB Jason Beauchamp - 6'3" 244 - Explosion Score 233.65

Beauchamp is an interesting name here. I don't see him as draft worthy, but a 3-4 team would love to pick him up in undrafted free agency similar to how the Ravens got Ellerbe last year.

Secondary

CB Chris Cook - 6'2" 212 - Explosion Score 216.27

Cook is nasty fast. His size and speed make him the project every NFL team wants. I believe he winds up a Tampa 2 CB or a FS in the NFL though. He will be patrolling the deep 3rd for someone for the next decade.

CB A.J. Jefferson - 6'0-1/8" 193 - Explosion Score 217.74

Jefferson is a solid corner who will be a weak spot in coverage. While he can explode through people, he just doesn't have the ability to turn his head. He reminds me a lot of Chris Houston in that regard.

FS Eric Berry - 5'11-5/8" 211 - Explosion Score 235.66

Berry is the top safety and player in the draft. He can hit, cover and read the play action. I think he will be the true leader for some lucky team in the secondary.

SS Taylor Mays - 6'3-1/8" 230 - Explosion Score 260.14

Mays. Well, he's just a prospect that has no football instincts and the highest speed score in the draft. Al Davis, here he comes... if Davis thinks S is a need. Was the SS on the Speed team, but is the FS on this team.
