2010 All Agility Score Team
By Scott Carasik
My agility score is derived from multiple factors. It starts with the weight multiplied by a factor and then using the 10 yard split, 3-cone drill and short shuttle times.
Quarterback

QB Tim Tebow - 6'2-3/4" 236 - Agility Score 126.15
Tebow's one of the quickest and fastest players out there. His score is that of an average-good TE and for his weight and height, he could make a switch to an H-back/Wildcat position and have a nice career there.
Running Backs

RB Ben Tate - 5'11" 220 - Agility Score 129.66
Ben Tate is one of the most underrated backs in the draft this season. He is sneaky-fast and his speed score # backs up his game tape. He is arguably the most unheralded prospect in a long, long time.

RB Montario Hardesty - 5'11-3/4" 225 - Agility Score 130.98
Hardesty is another one of those sneaky-fast guys. He is too quick and shifty for people to catch him and his overall style fits best in a Gibbs Zone Blocking Scheme with a West Coast offense attached.

FB John Conner - 5'11-1/8" 246 - Agility Score 127.63
John Conner is a beast and a half, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him on all 3 scored teams. He really brings all that you want in a fullback. The speed to get out there and hit someone, and he can catch too.
Wide Receivers

WRF Joe Webb - 6'3-5/8" 223 - Agility Score 134.42
A guy who will be switching from the QB position to the WR position. He has all the speed to make the switch. He could easily be a sleeper in this year's draft and really needs to develop his hands and route-running.

WRP Blair White - 6'4-1/2" 210 - Agility Score 129.20
Blair White is intriguing because he is one of the few caucasian Wideouts in the draft. He is quick more than he is fast and has great hands. His agility # is the best indicator of his Wes Welker-ness.

WRS Scott Long - 6'2-1/4" 210 - Agility Score 137.38
Long has the best potential out of all of the Wide Receivers in this year's draft. He is a rough lump of coal right now though. He needs a lot of polishing to become that diamond in the rough.

TE Jimmy Graham - 6'6-1/4" 260 - Agility Score 138.36
Jimmy Graham is the next Tony Gonzalez in my honest opinion. Plays basketball and learned his body control there and has been very good at TE in the college ranks.
Offensive Line

LT Jared Veldheer - 6'8-1/8" 312 - Agility Score 135.88
Agility is more important for an OL. Veldheer wins this metric. The little known guy before the draft prospect has been skyrocketing up boards with his size and agility. Now that he has shown it, he is no suprise around the league.

LG Marshall Newhouse - 6'3-3/8" 319 - Agility Score 134.65
Newhouse played RT for a few years at TCU before switching to RG. This is no shock to me and I think he will be using his speed to get to the 2nd level quite a bit in the NFL.

C Matt Tennant - 6'4-1/2" 300 - Agility Score 121.36
As slow as the class was, it's agile. Tennant really stands out with his score, but no C had an agility score under 100. Tennant is normally the first one off the snap, and not just because he's the one snapping it.

RG Brandon Carter - 6'5-1/2" 329 - Agility Score 133.43
Carter scares me at the next level. I really think he will kill someone with how nasty and aggressive he is in the pile. He reminds me of Harvey Dahl, but with more size and of course, speed.

RT Trent Williams - 6'4-5/8" 315 - Agility Score 142.27
Yes, Williams has a better score than Veldheer too, but he is a pure RT from what I have seen on film. I love his play at RT though and with his speed he could be the next David Stewart.
4-3 Front 7

LDE Daniel Te'o Nesheim - 6'3-1/2" 263 - Agility Score 141.39
Te'o Nesheim wasn't a shock here. I was half expecting Graham to fit in, but his results on his pro-day aren't in yet since it's 2 days from now. T-N is a very solid player and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 10+ sack seasons in the NFL

NT Ndamukong Suh - 6'3-7/8" 307 - Agility Score 141.86
Suh is scary. He is easily the best player in the draft outside of Eric Berry and has proven to me time and time again that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL whether he winds up a 3, 1 or 5-tech or in the 2-gap schemes.

UT Tyson Alualu - 6'2-3/8" 295 - Agility Score 144.31
Alualu plays fast. He also hits hard. He played in a 3-4 at Cal and his best fit is in a 3-4 in the NFL. He can disrupt from the 3-tech, the 5-tech and the 1-tech and NFL coaches will be happy to have him on their team.

RDE Jerry Hughes - 6'1-3/4" 255 - Agility Score 134.82
Hughes is FAST. 4-3 Linebacker/Safety fast. and he plays DE or WOLB. The speed he brings from the edge will cause other teams to gameplan around him similar to how they game plan around guys like Abraham and Ware.

WLB Dekoda Watson - 6'1-3/8" 240 - Agility Score 135.15
Dekoda Watson is not just fast, but quick off the edge. FSU blitzed him a lot and for good reason. His speed off the edge will be terrifying in the NFL, and I could easily see him fitting in well with Philly or New York.

MLB Jamar Chaney - 6'0-3/4" 242 - Agility Score 132.72
Chaney's speed will benefit him in the 3-4 or the 4-3. He fits as a MLB/SILB and could very well be the pounder and leader for someone in the middle of their defense. I really think Jamar can be a special player in the NFL.

SLB Kyle Bosworth - 6'0-5/8" 236 - Agility Score 137.96
Bosworth is a true SLB. Strong against the run and the pass, but his speed should help him keep up with the TE's in the NFL. He has great instincts and could be a steal in the late rounds.
3-4 Front 7

LDE Ndamukong Suh - 6'3-7/8" 307 - Agility Score 141.86
Suh is scary. He is easily the best player in the draft outside of Eric Berry and has proven to me time and time again that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL.

NT Cam Thomas - 6'4" 330 - Agility Score 129.90
Cam Thomas is a pure 0-tech NT. With his size and strength he will remind many of Kris Jenkins. Thomas is another one of those nasty pluggers you would love to have on your team, but he can still penetrate too.

RDE Tyson Alualu - 6'2-3/8" 295 - Agility Score 144.31
Alualu plays fast. He also hits hard. He played in a 3-4 at Cal and his best fit is in a 3-4 in the NFL. He can disrupt from the 3-tech, the 5-tech and the 1-tech and NFL coaches will be happy to have him on their team.

WOLB Jason Worilds - 6'1-1/4" 254 - Agility Score 136.52
Worilds is special. His speed off the end is unparalleled. But his problems with injuries could hamper his development. He is limited schematically to a 3-4 OLB though, and 4-3 teams will shy away from him.

WILB Donald Butler - 6'1-1/8" 245 - Agility Score 128.40
Butler could fit well as a MLB in the 4-3 or either ILB spot in the 3-4. Coverage is good, but his speed is where the story is. He is Tampa 2 fast and could really help someone like Chicago in their quest for a future replacement for Urlacher.

SILB Jamar Chaney - 6'0-3/4" 242 - Agility Score 132.72
Chaney's speed will benefit him in the 3-4 or the 4-3. He fits as a MLB/SILB and could very well be the pounder and leader for someone in the middle of their defense. I really think Jamar can be a special player in the NFL.

SOLB Jerry Hughes - 6'1-3/4" 255 - Agility Score 134.82
Hughes is FAST. 4-3 Linebacker/Safety fast. and he plays DE or WOLB. The speed he brings from the edge will cause other teams to gameplan around him similar to how they game plan around guys like Abraham and Ware.
Secondary

CB Chris Cook - 6'2" 212 - Agility Score 122.23
Cook is nasty fast. His size and speed make him the project every NFL team wants. I believe he winds up a Tampa 2 CB or a FS in the NFL though. He will be patrolling the deep 3rd for someone for the next decade.

CB Nolan Carroll - 5'11-1/2" 204 - Agility Score 118.59
You may be asking yourself, "who?". I did as well. Carroll is not impressive at all in game tape and was abused repeatedly by the ACC's less than average WR's. Hard to believe he even fits on this team.

SS Barry Church - 6'1-1/2" 222 - Agility Score 125.09
Church has the tools to be a very good SS in the NFL but won't because he lacks the instincts. Why do these metrics make me think that Al Davis will be contacting me soon about a job? I feel like they don't tell the whole story, especially with the S position.

FS Taylor Mays - 6'3-1/8" 230 - Agility Score 132.69
Mays. Well, he's just a prospect that has no football instincts and the highest speed score in the draft. Al Davis, here he comes... if Davis thinks S is a need. Was the SS on the Speed team, but is the FS on this team.
