Hi all I am back for ScarDraft.com and it’s another day of my draft grades for this past year’s rookies.

Note: I will not be curving a grade because they were a later round pick or undrafted, I welcome/encourage discussion via email at ScottDelleFave@Scardraft.com

Once again, grades will range through A-F and there will be the occasional I for incomplete due to an injury before the pre-season.

The format for the first line is the round, the pick in the round they were selected, in the parentheses is the pick overall they were selected, their name, position, their height and weight and the college they attended.

Minnesota Vikings

Round 2, Pick 2 (34) (From Lions) Chris Cook CB 6'2" 212 Virginia

Cook had a total of 21 tackles, with no INTs in six games of playing, five where he started. He played through torn menisci in both knees, while that can score some points for toughness, that position is based on speed, and mobility. Grade F

Round 2, Pick 19 (51) (From Texans) Toby Gerhart RB 6'0" 231 Stanford

Only truly saw time, when star Star RB, Adrian Peterson was injured, otherwise, he took a back seat. When in the game he had 81 carries and 322 yards and a TD with a fumble,  and amassed 21 catches for a total of 167 yards. Grade: C

Round 4, Pick 2 (100) (From Lions) Everson Griffen DE 6'3" 273 USC

Had eleven tackles in eleven games with zero sacks for the year. Has been arrested a two times in 2011, despite that, coach Leslie Fraizer has high hopes for him, I don’t.  Grade: F

Round 5, Pick 30 (161) Chris Degeare OT 6'4" 325 Wake Forest

Played in eight games, and started in five of them at Offensive Guard, might start next year, baring the Vikings drafting or signing a big name guard in Free Agency (which is unlikely) Grade C

Round 5, Pick 36 (167) (Compensatory selection) Nathan Triplett LB 6'3" 250 Minnesota

Was cut by the team, signed by San Diego and placed on their practice squad until the Indianapolis Colts signed him and amassed a total of four tackles. Grade F

Round 6, Pick 30 (199) Joe Webb QB 6'3" 223 UAB

Orginally planned to be a converted Wide Receiver, however eventually replaced injured QBs Brett Favre and Tavaris Jackson at QB. Completed nearly 61 percent of his passes, amassed 477 yards, and zero touchdowns, and threw three interceptions in three games played, also had two rushing touchdowns and infact beat Philadelphia on the road in his first career start. Grade C

Round 7, Pick 7 (214) (From Browns through Lions) Mickey Shuler TE 6'4" 251

Was wavied by the Vikings, and claimed by the Dolphins and had two catches for 44 yards. Grade: F

Round 7, Pick 30 (237) Ryan D'Imperio LB 6'2" 230 Rutgers

Was waived before the regular season after a move to FB and placed on the practice squad all season. Grade:  I
